What is God's battle axe?

The battle axe is one of the strongest and most dangerous weapon ever made. God is the man of war (Exodus 15:3)and we are his battle axe. When God fights on the battle ground, he needs a weapon that is trustworthy and strong. To survive this complex and perverted world as children of the Most High God, we need to be a danger to Satan and his cohorts. The enemy should see you and retreat with immediate alacrity, the devil should smell your presence from a distance and run away. The lord wants to use you dear brother and sister to fight His battles.

As Christians we should not only be keen on asking from God all the time, we should also be willing to help fight on the battlefield. Children of the True vine should be keen on depopulating the kingdom of darkness and bringing souls to the kingdom of God. Being God's battle axe means that you are under His control. you have given him all authority to be the driver of your life. To be His weapon of war simply means you are saying "Lord use me, I am ready for you". Even the book of Isaiah 10:15 explains that is the axe to boast itself over the one who chops with it? As the Lord's weapon of warfare, you cannot argue with the Vine when he says go, you must obey.

The attributes of God's battle axe are plenty but the main 5 are listed below:

1. Is used to pull down stronghold, in warfare and combat - 2 Corinthians 10:4-6

2. Is razor-sharp. Used in a way that it will cause acute, excruciating and agonizing pain on the enemy. This simply means that as a believer, one has to be on fire, very dedicated to Jesus and be able to use the word of God effectively - Hebrews 4:12.

3. Is not associated with any rust. Must not be attached with any form of mundanity, immorality, idols or sin. Endeavour to be neat and shiny at all times.

4. Is able to persevere and endure. A battle axe is very strong as it is made out of iron and copper alloy. For an axe to be made and come out nicely, fire has to be applied. This means that Christians need to be able to endure persecutions, storms of life and trials.

5. Is different from other type of axe. Christians who are God's battle axe need to stand out from others. His weapon of warfare has to be extraordinary and unique in character as well as actions.
