Finish Your Course With Joy
Reading through the book of Acts, I was attracted by the perseverance and zeal that brother Paul had for souls. He was not offended that he was being mocked, he did not care if his own reputation or image was destroyed. All he wanted was for the name of Jesus to be known all over the nation and to finish his course with joy.
They called him a babbler and a spreader of strange gods but he kept on telling the news. Many modern-day Christians have not even been through a quarter of what brother Paul went through, and are already giving up on their father's work.
Though some mocked brother Paul, others refused the good news he still won some souls like Dionysius and Damaris. GOD intentionally sent you to that office, that school, that shop area for somebody. There is a soul waiting for you to open your mouth and speak about Jesus. How long will you tarry before doing the work of thy father?
What joy will fill the heart of our father Jesus, the TrueVine, how sweet would it be if Christians who are called by HIS name can say like brother Paul; "But none of these things move me, neither count I, my life dear unto myself so that I might finish my course with joy and the ministry which I have received of the LORD Jesus to testify the gospel of the grace of GOD" - Acts 20:24
May GOD keep helping us to heed to the call. Amen
"Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you.”
May the Lord help us to spread the good news as it was written and not as the world wants it!
