Let Him Catch You - Trust in GOD

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight. Proverbs 3:5 - 6 

With my few years on earth, I have come to learn that only God is to be trusted. You might ask why I made this statement. Follow me on this journey of thoughts. 

Trust is an attribute associated with the heart, the most fragile part of the body though some may not agree with me. This scripture got me thinking and I decided to write down some few thoughts. I have come to learn that trust is related with believing, it is related with love and submission. Human understanding and knowledge will let you down.


Trust means to confidently rely on God knowing fully well that He has got your back. Sometimes, life gets overwhelming and we fall back to Jesus because we know He will catch us. I have watched trust broken, I have heard stories of the most faithful friend breaking trust. However, I have never heard of when my Lord Jesus broke any of His promises. 

Even lovers promise themselves to love, trust and to care; they promise to comfort and be there with you through it all but never rely on that because humans are known to fail, only Jesus never fails. The Bible says "let God be true and all men liars" (Romans 3:4), He indeed is a true lover. I have seen God come through for me several times and I admit that I have fallen in this trust issue many times with my father Jesus like many Christians but we can work on that. This scripture made me realize that trust is not just a thing of the mouth but a thing of the heart. 

Christians will say "I trust God will come through", do you really trust him? do you really believe that he has got you? My darling sisters and brothers, the time has come to fully trust this God with all of your heart, do not hold back. Let it all out, continually believe Him and He will never let you down. 

I realize it is so easy to trust a man or a woman because of mere words or few actions than to trust the Almighty God. The God who makes the skies, clouds, water, mountains; the one who speaks everything to life. We need to start telling our hearts the truth because trusting in yourself or another human can cost you eternity. We rob ourselves of peace and several promises each time we disobey the scripture. When we trust in the Lord with all our hearts, He will make our paths straight. This means that we will not struggle with direction, He becomes in charge of everything in our lives. Trust in God can be built by meditating on the Word of God day and night as the Bible says in Psalms 1: 2.

If you are reading this and you are struggling with trusting God due to past experiences, I want you to know that God has you on His heart and He knows it all, just be still and trust Him. In all the troubles of life, in all the storm, in all the heat, be rest assured that God is with you. Do not let the enemy cheat you dear, God is trustworthy and has great plans for you. Let Him take the wheel.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I know I can depend on you even when all things are not working right. Please help me trust in you with all my heart and might and let your name be glorified. 

 

 

"Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you."

Reading through the book of Daniel chapter 1, I saw that Daniel dared to stand out from others. Not only did he purposed in his heart but also showed it in his action. You cannot serve God and remain like others, you cannot sacrifice your time and all for God and get the same results as others who do not even believe in God.
